Welcome to Bistro 489!
In the Bistro, chefs and student chefs collaborate in order to make dishes for customers. Proudly serving as the restaurant for the MVTHS Culinary Arts Program, the Bistro is a student-operated establishment that first opened its doors in the fall of 2017.
More About Us
At the Bistro students gain valuable firsthand experience in a variety of areas including safety, food handling, food preparation, institutional cooking, short order cooking, computer skills, and customer service. This experience not only enhances their skills for future careers but also opens doors to numerous job opportunities, such as line cook, prep cook, chef, baker, host/hostess, pastry chef, caterer, dining room manager, and restaurant manager.
